Home made almond butter
When I make my own nut butter, I know that the end product has got no preservatives added and that only pure, unprocessed, omega 3 rich oil get used. The reason manufacturers use cheap, processed oils in nut butters you buy in the shop, is to prevent the nut butter from going rancid since they sell it in bulk. I skip that step by just making a batch of nut butter myself.
For better flavour use toasted, salted nuts, but you can use raw almonds too.
Feed almonds through processor. Add healthy, natural oil afterwards to moistened the ground nuts. Store in recycled jar. Oil you can use are extra virgin olive oil, flax seed oil, hemp seed oil, avocado oil. If you used raw almonds, season with salt.
